What I Do Now
After having my children and teaching for 12 years, I decided
to go back to school and work on more of my stories. I enrolled
in the wonderful, amazing and perfectly perfect MFA( Masters
in Fine Arts) program in Creative Writing at Lesley University.
I joined the Writing for Young People part of the program
and get to work with incredible authors from all genres. My mentors, my teachers,
Susan Goodman, Anita Riggio, David Elliott and Pat Lowry Collins all led by
the Director, Steven Cramer, have taught me so much about the craft of writing.
They have also taught me how to keep learning and how to critique my own work
before I say, “I’m done!”
I still have my teaching certificate because I always loved
teaching and never want to give that up, after all I write
for children and just as my sons, Will and Luke, inspire me
to write, so did all my past students.
